Plan a route

“Route” on a place makes it the destination. Your location is the start if you shared it, otherwise search for a starting point in the field above.

Location

The first time, your browser asks whether MetaGer Maps may use your location. If you declined, you can change it in the browser’s site settings (usually through the icon left of the address).

Your location is mostly used on your device only, for example to center the map. For a route from your location it is sent to us like any other waypoint, used only to calculate the route and not stored.

Share and embed

The address in your browser always contains the current view, search, place or route, so you can pass it on. In the menu under “Share & embed” you find the link to copy and a code to put the map on your own website.

Map data

Map, search and routes are based on OpenStreetMap and updated daily. The menu shows the date of the data.

If something is missing or wrong, anyone can fix it directly on OpenStreetMap. It shows up here after the next update.
